Description:

The LOVER is caught between two opposite female figures in this card; again a spiritual force wings above. This card could be interpreted as attachment theory, (i.e. the young LOVER is still attached to the mother). The youth is utterly confused. Confronting the dilemma of puberty, he believes he must make a choice between worldly status and awakening passion. Having not yet found his own center, he does not know which way to turn. Eros above could end the confusion by striking the heart of the matter with his arrow.
